United Construction was formed in 1969, in Salida, Colorado. The primary focus was making a contracting company based on quality workmanship through involvement in all phases of construction projects. Since then, United Construction has successfully built approximately 150 residential living units and commercial buildings.

After years of general construction work, United Construction began specializing in roofing and building exteriors, eventually evolving into a flat roof specialist. United has repaired old roofs and installed new roofs with torchdown, built-up and different kinds of single-ply membranes. In 1986, United Construction used Duro-Last’s single-ply, (PVC) polyvinyl chloride, thermoplastic formulated membrane for the first time and within two years stopped using any other low slope roofing products. The switch was made easy considering the high quality of Duro-Last’s membrane material. The design, manufacturing, product testing, durability and warranty far exceed any other flat roofing products in the industry. It is a superior roofing product that is not plagued with seam failures that other roofing systems have.

Duro-Last roofs are not only strong but light weight, weighing much less than most other roof materials. Standing behind the product is a 15 or 20 year material and labor warranty with $12,000,000 worth of product liability insurance. That protects your building and its contents from any damage due to a failure of the product. United Construction also carries an additional $1,000,000 liability insurance policy for your protection.

United Construction has always focused on high quality installation and workmanship. Since 1990, United has continuously earned the Master Roofer Award from Duro-Last. The award is only given to those companies installing at least 10 roof systems in a year and receiving a score of 90 or better on a 100 point scale. United Construction’s average score is 97.5 points and earned us entry into the new Master Elite Program for the past four years.
